Subrogation, loss Recovery and business litigation counsel
Stephen Barker has been working in the legal field for three decades. After graduating from Penn State, Stephen began working as a legal assistant before entering law school at George Washington University in Washington, DC. While in law school Steve worked for a world renowned Professor of Law and Forensic Sciences and was involved in the historical death investigation of Meriwether Lewis of Lewis & Clark that was featured in Time magazine. Working in this capacity offered the opportunity to learn the meticulous process of piecing together clues, which form the building blocks for every legal problem that lawyers are asked to solve. Upon graduation, Steve clerked for a judge in the homicide division of the Philadelphia court system, before shifting his responsibilities to civil matters. Upon establishing himself in private practice, Steve used this exposure to trial practice and judicial decision-making to sharpen his skills as a litigator and an advocate. He soon found himself working at one the largest firms in Philadelphia, at one of the largest property subrogation practices in the country. When the time came to relocate to Florida, Steve utilized the experience and training he received to establish his own litigation firm and subrogation client base. His practice has expanded to all phases of property work, including recovery actions, property management law, condominium and homeowners association referrals and business dispute resolution.
